You’ve put a lot of time and effort into making your garden perfect for the warmer months – yet you find yourself pining for your lovely lawn from indoors because hay fever is holding you hostage. Such a scenario is all too familiar for many of us, but this year can be different. With its range of products for hay feverinduced itchy and watery eyes, Optrex is here to help you enjoy your summer. The grass pollen season starts in May to June and affects one in five people in the UK.
Instead of feeling apprehensive about this time of year, however, you can now look forward to those sunny days and balmy evenings. Optrex’s selection of eye care products, designed to ease irritation caused by allergens such as pollen, offer fast and long-lasting* relief and can be used in conjunction with allergy tablets. From soothing eye drops to its protective ActiMist spray, Optrex has a product to help hay fever sufferers experiencing itchy and watery eyes.
Quick and easy
To help make this summer more enjoyable, Optrex has launched a brand-new product: Double Action Drops for Itchy and Watery Eyes. While multi-dose eye drops typically have to be discarded 28 days to three months after being opened, Optrex’s new drops also come in single-use vials. If you don’t use all the liquid in one go, you can reseal the vial and use the drops for up to 12 hours after opening it.
Keep a vial or two on you at all times and open your eyes up to the delights of summer. Optrex Double Action Drops are available exclusively at Boots**. Always read the label before using.
What is hay fever?
Seasonal allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, affects millions of people every year. Symptoms can include a runny or blocked nose, sneezing, and red, itchy and watery eyes, caused by the immune system’s overreaction to airborne dust and pollens that are prevalent in the summer months.
How can I manage my symptoms?
Along with using Optrex ActiMist Double Action spray and anti-histamine tablets, there are a few extra steps you can take to help manage your symptoms:
- Protect your eyes with sunglasses when outdoors.
- On days with a high pollen count, don’t leave doors and windows open in your home.
- If driving, avoid opening the window.
- At the end of the day, take a shower to wash off any irritants and change into fresh clothes.
