Witness the vibrant colours of spring burst into life all over Exmoor National Park
Exmoor is the place to be as the winter gloom gives way to brighter days and warmer weather. Beech hedges turn a delicious shade of lime green, lush fields are dotted with yellow thanks to bright primroses, daffodils and early gorse, and new white lambs frolic in the fields. It’s a picture-postcard sight. Spring is in the air and there’s no better place to experience it.
Walking, cycling or out on the sea, get outside and experience Exmoor this spring:
Hiking with cinematic views
There’s a trail for every level, from pulse-raising climbs to gentle strolls along the river. Tackle part of a long-distance route like the famous Coleridge Way, South West Coast Path or Two Moors Way. You can learn more about the history and ecology of the area with a whole range of informative guided walks too.
Fun at the Exmoor Pony Centre
Located in the heart of Exmoor National Park, this sanctuary for endangered rare-breed Exmoor ponies is a must for wildlife lovers. It’s great to see them up on the moors, but very special to get up close and personal with them in the yard, paddocks and petting pens. The ponies are lovingly cared for by a dedicated team.
