Suffolk-based gardener Joe Harrison’s all-consuming love of plants can be seen on his Instagram account @grow_with_joe and his blog, where he loves to share tips to help people become more confident in the garden.
Joe likes to spend most of the summer months outside with his family. And whether it’s watering, gardening, playing games or enjoying meals together, it’s all about utilising the space as an extension of their home.
“Cuprinol’s ‘There’s more to life outdoors’ project was so appealing to me, especially the food and dining outdoors aspect of it,” says Joe. “We have a ‘reuse, reduce and recycle’ approach in the garden and allotment and love an upcycling project.
“Making use of the courtyard area of our garden was a must, so we sourced a second-hand pine table, matching chairs and a bench, to make the perfect centrepiece for our outdoor dining space, then combined them with rustic, chunky shelves made from reclaimed wooden pallets.
“I have a passion for pink and green, and Cuprinol offers such a wonderful selection of colours. I was especially drawn to the gorgeous new shade of Coral Splash and the contrasting Fresh Rosemary and Seagrass. I wanted a real pop of colour, too, so of course I had to go with the stunning bright green of the Emerald Stone and cool Nordic tones of Winters Well.”
