Safety is a key priority
You can rest assured ASDA is working hard to keep both its store colleagues and customers safe. When you visit your local ASDA you can expect to find...
Social distancing and hygiene measures in place to keep you safe, including clear social distancing signage throughout the stores and regular deep-cleaning regimes.
All store colleagues and customers wearing a face mask. Customers who don’t have one when entering the store will be offered a pack of disposable masks that they can pay for when they complete their shopping.
Safety Marshals stationed at the front of the store, as well as in the aisles of larger stores, to monitor social distancing and to ensure everyone is wearing a mask.
Every checkout open to help reduce queuing, each with a Perspex safety screen.
Hand sanitisation stations positioned throughout the stores, with extra cleaning points in the busiest parts.
Self-sanitising trolley and basket handles – a protective coating has been added to them to create an antimicrobial surface that limits the spread of bacteria and viruses.
