Full terms and conditions for the LU Biscuits x BBC Good Food competition

1. The Promoter is Immediate Media Company London Limited (company number 06189487).

2. All BBC Magazines comply with the BBC Code of Conduct for competitions, which can be found at https://www.bbc.com/editorialguidelines/guidance/code-of-conduct.

3. The promotion is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands, aged 18 years or older, except the Promoter’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members.

4. The closing date for entries is 23:59pm on 02/09/2023.

5. By entering the promotion, the participants agree:

•  to be bound by these terms and conditions; and

•  that should they win the promotion, their name and likeness may be used by the Promoter for pre-arranged promotional purposes.

6. Entrants should enter by giving the correct answer to the multiple-choice question and completing the supplied form. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.

7. Entrants must supply to Immediate Media their name, email address and telephone number. The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Immediate Privacy Policy.

8. Only one entry will be permitted per person, regardless of method of entry. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.

9. One winner and one guest will win a 4-night stay at a holiday home in the French Dordogne:

•  You will be staying at Lagrange Vacances: The Bastides of Lascaux in the Dordogne sharing a two-level home on a room-only basis. Your accommodation also includes access to a communal swimming pool, sauna or steam room session, fitness suite, boules pitch, badminton, and table tennis.

•  Winner and guest must be 18 years old.

•  Prize includes return economy flights, all flight taxes, and surcharges but doesn’t include any checked luggage. The departure airport used will be the winners nearest international airport that operates direct flights to Limoges. Please note this may not be your closest airport. If you don’t hold a UK passport you may need a visa for this destination, and this should be arranged with the appropriate embassy. Although please note the cost of a visa of this kind is not included in your prize.

•  Due to the current ongoing situation with travel advice in relation to COVID-19, we would advise that you look at all the information available with regards to quarantine, vaccination, and testing requirements of the destination you are travelling to, before selecting your dates. To understand the risks of a country, including the latest COVID restrictions (including for entry), follow FCDO Travel Advice. You can find information online at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. It is your responsibility to comply with any Covid-19 checks for entering France and upon returning to the UK. The winner and their guest are also responsible for having the correct travel documentation, test results, vaccine status, or following any COVID-19 regulations.

•  Travel to and from the airport in the UK is not included as part of the prize.

•  Travel is subject to date availability and excludes the Christmas holiday period (15th December 2023- 5th January 2024), Valentine’s Day/weekend (9-11th February and 16th-18th February 2023), Easter weekend (28th March- 3rd April 2024) and bank holiday weekends in both the UK (25th-28th August 2023, 3rd-6th May 2024, 24th-27th May 2024) and France (11th November 2023 and 12-14th July 2024).

•  Your prize includes car hire in France. Car hire will be collected from the airport. Drivers need to be over the age of 25 and have held a full clean driver’s licence for a minimum of 2 years. Fully inclusive refers to unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver, theft protection, local taxes, and airport fees. The driver will need to provide the car hire company with a personal credit card that has £500-£1,000 (dependent on the company policies) available for a security deposit that is refundable to your card upon the safe return of the vehicle.

•  French Patisserie spend will be provided in the form of £50.00 spending money. Spending money will be transferred directly to the winner upon confirmation of full and correct bank details. Transfers can take up to 5 working days.

•  The prize must be booked by the prize winner within 12 months from initial correspondence.

10. The winning entrant will be the first entry drawn at random from all correct entries. The Promoter’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered into. The Promoter may share the winner’s details with the prize provider for the purpose of fulfilling the prizes.

11. The winner will be notified within 14 days via telephone or email. If the winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 28 days of such notification being sent, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future promotion.

12.The surname and county of residence of the winner will be available upon request by sending an SAE to Good Food, Vineyard House, 44 Brook Green, London, W6 7BT within two months of the closing date of the promotion. The Promoter will contact the winner before releasing this information and provide the winner the opportunity to object or limit the amount of information shared.

13. There is no cash alternative and the prizes will not be transferable. The prize must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of the same or greater value.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.

15. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries.

16. The Promoter excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winners arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.

17. The promotion is subject to the laws of England.
