Using just a few ingredients and taking less than 20 minutes to make, nutritious lunches don’t come much better than this!

What you'll need

25g butter, melted

½ lemon, zested and juiced, plus wedges to serve

10g fresh dill, chopped, plus extra to serve

600g salmon fillet

Let's make it

Step 1
To install the Ninja Woodfire grill plate, position it flat on top of the heating element, then gently press down until it sits in place, then close the lid. While holding the smoke box lid open, use the pellet scoop to pour pellets into the smoke box until filled to the top, then close the lid.

Step 2
Turn the dial to GRILL. Press WOODFIRE FLAVOUR. Set the temperature to HI and the time to 7 mins. Select START/STOP to begin pre-heating (IGN and pre-heating will take approx. 9-11 mins).

Step 3
In a small bowl, mix the butter, lemon zest and juice, dill and some salt and freshly ground black pepper until evenly combined, then brush butter over the flesh side of the salmon.

Step 4
When the unit beeps and ADD FOOD is displayed, open the lid and place the salmon skin-side-down onto the grill, gently pressing down to maximize the grill marks. Close the lid to begin cooking. When the display reads FLIP, open the lid and use silicone-tipped tongs to turn the salmon over. Close the lid to continue cooking.

Step 5
Once cooked, brush the salmon with any remaining butter and garnish with the extra dill. Serve with lemon wedges on the side and a creamy potato salad.
