Passion, precision, perfection

Not only is No.3 gin a work of art, it’s a work of meticulous science and maths too. Creation starts with six botanicals; each one precisely weighed out to achieve a seamless blend of flavour. The botanicals are then added to a unique 100-year-old, brick-encased copper pot still in Holland, where they’re steeped in ultra-pure grain spirit for 16 hours. The next day, distillation begins, with the Master Distiller later collecting the ‘heart’ of the distillate to be triple-checked – it’s the only way to ensure it’s nothing short of spectacular! Hot mulled apple cocktail

Prep 5 mins, Cook 25 mins Easy  Serves 4

Fuse No.3 Gin with the bold aromas of cinnamon, ginger and cardamom for the perfect festive cocktail that’s as warming as it is delectable...

Ingredients
  • 3 star anise
  • 5 cardamom pods
  • 600ml cloudy apple juice
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger
  • 200ml No.3 Gin
  • cinnamon stick, to garnish
Method

1.  To make the mulled apple, lightly toast the star anise and cardamom pods in a pan for a few mins to release their flavours, then add the cloudy apple juice and the juice of half a lemon. Next, grate the ginger into the mix. Simmer on a low heat for 20 mins, making sure not to bring the mixture to the boil. Take off the heat, strain and bottle once cool.

2.  Add 50ml of gin and 150ml of the mulled apple to a mug and mix to combine. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy.

  • 100ml sparkling wine
  • cinnamon stick, to garnish
  • orange zest, to garnish
Method

1.  Pour the No.3 Gin into a champagne flute before slowly topping with the ginger cordial and sparkling wine. Garnish with the cinnamon stick and orange zest to serve.
