This reimagined Disney classic takes the magic from the 1994 original and creates a wonder of photoreal animation. Director Jon Favreau assembles an anybody who’s anybody cast, including Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor and James Earl Jones in his original role of Mufasa. The soundtrack has been lovingly restored with the added benefit of Beyoncé’s powerhouse vocals, so sit yourself down and belt out all those words just like you used to.

This fascinating biopic based on the life of struggling writer Lee Israel is an irresistible watch. Melissa McCarthy portrays Israel with trademark relish as she embarks on a criminal moneymaking scheme forging salacious letters from deceased celebrities and selling them for big bucks. Just as enjoyable is her fizzing chemistry with drunkard friend Jack, played brilliantly be Richard E. Grant, which, unsurprisingly, went on to earn the pair deserved Oscar nominations.

The Titans are awoken once more as earth feels the full force of an almighty fight for supremacy between Godzilla and King Ghidorah – an ancient alien seeking to rule the entire planet. Vera Farmiga stars as paleobiologist Dr. Emma Russell, whose shifting allegiances test her relationship with her daughter Madison, played by Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown, to the limit. Kyle Chandler plays Emma’s ex-husband Mark, who re-joins the fight for earth’s future.
