This thrilling Sky original is set in present-day London, in the grip of an all-consuming power vacuum between international gangs, caused by the assassination of the head of the city’s most powerful crime family. Sean Wallace, played brilliantly by Peaky Blinders’ Joe Cole, must now step into his father’s footsteps and try to take control, in partnership with the rival Dumani family. But with the scene now more dangerous than ever, he’ll have a tough time staying in command.
3. Brassic
S1 streaming now / S2 streaming 7 May
This sharp Sky original comedy created by This Is England’s Joseph Gilgun and Bafta-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst returns in May for a second series, and you can stream them both on NOW TV. Vinnie (Gilgun) and his five friends embark on a crime spree as a get-rich-quick scheme in their local northern town of Hawley. Brassic is a masterclass in wry, modern British humour, with stellar performances from Gilgun and Coronation Street’s Michelle Keegan.
4. Run
Streaming weekly
HBO serves up one of the comedies of the year, created by Vicky Jones and exec-produced by one of the hottest names in television right now, Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Merritt Wever (Marriage Story) plays Ruby, who walks away from suburban life to honour a 17-year-old pact with her old college boyfriend Billy, played by Domhnall Gleeson (About Time). If one texted the word “RUN” and the other replied the same, they would meet at New York’s Grand Central station and travel across America.
5. Manifest

On 7 April 2013, a flight from Jamaica to New York experiences severe turbulence.
