There’s nothing quite like tucking into a good movie after a day of summer fun and frolics. You might even forgo the frolics altogether, crank up the fan and finally stick on that film you’ve been dying to watch all year.

Perhaps you’ll celebrate the anniversary of the moon landing (16 July) by watching First Man, Damien Chazelle’s award-winning biopic. Or maybe you’ll get the whole family together for Incredibles 2. Whatever your mood, NOW TV has a film to match.

So, set up an account, pick a pass that suits you, and press play on some amazing content.

1. First Man

Streaming 20 July

This month marks 50 years since Neil Armstrong’s history-defining moon landing. Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle’s biopic explores the sacrifices Armstrong (played by Ryan Gosling) had to make, as well as the steps NASA had to take for mankind’s giant leap to become possible. It’s a gruelling journey, but it will fill you with wonder nonetheless.

This prequel/sequel is just as charming as its predecessor. Lily James plays the young Donna with as much joie de vivre as Meryl Streep (and rocks a denim dungaree just as well, too). They’re joined by an ensemble cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Cher. My, my, how can you resist such an unapologetically feel-good gem?

3. Incredibles 2

They may not wear capes (a lesson the first movie’s big bad Syndrome learned the hard way), but the Parr family’s superhero antics could give the Avengers a run for their money. The much-anticipated sequel tackles parenthood, the rise of technology and baby vs. racoon feuds. An epic watch that will delight children and grown-ups alike.

4. A Star is Born

Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut may be a remake of a remake, but it still managed to surprise audiences and critics with its poignant exploration of love and stardom. Cooper stars alongside a remarkable Lady GaGa, whose compelling lyrics earned the film an Oscar for Best Original Song. Beautifully filmed, it’s well worth the heart ache.

5. Mission Impossible: Fallout

This high-octane Hollywood franchise seems to get better with age (it spans 23 years and counting). The same could be said for its charismatic star, Tom Cruise, who famously does all his own stunts. The sixth instalment sees Cruise HALO-jump out of an aeroplane and more – all while acting out hero Ethan Hunt’s most impossible mission yet.
