2 small bramley cooking apples
50g Werther’s Original Sugar Free Butter Candies, ground to a fine powder
30g jumbo oats
30g plain flour
¼ tsp cinnamon, plus extra to serve
¼ tsp mixed spice
45g cold unsalted butter
plain yogurt, to serve
1. Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Slice the tops of the apples off, then score a line around the middle of the apple, and then core out a hole in the centre.
2. In a bowl, mix the ground Werther’s Originals, oats, flour, cinnamon and mixed spices together, then rub into the butter with your fingers to form a crumble mix. Divide between the apples, filling the centres, then place in a deep-sided baking tray. Add about 1cm of water to the baking tray, to prevent the apples from drying out.
3. Cook for 25-30 mins, until golden brown and soft. Once cooked, serve with a dollop of plain yogurt and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
