STIHL’s next generation of robot mowers will transform your lawncare routine
The new iMOW® and iMOW® EVO combine cutting-edge technology and modern design with STIHL's proven quality to achieve the best results for your lawn
One of the many benefits of investing in a new mower is knowing it will help make your life much easier than your old one did. This is especially true when it comes to something as sophisticated as a robot mower.
That’s why almost 10 years of continuous research have gone into developing the all-new iMOW® and iMOW® EVO ranges from STIHL. Every feature and function has been optimised to reduce every possible type of disruption, ensuring the mower is quiet and unobtrusive when in use. Plus, because it’s from STIHL, you can be sure it’ll do the job perfectly, allowing you more time to enjoy your garden at its very best.
From seamless grass-cutting and lawn fertilisation technology to the ultimate convenience of in-app control, here are just some of the features and innovations that make iMOW the best gardening assistant you could ever ask for.
Clean cut
The first question that should always be asked of any mower is simple: how well does it cut grass? When it comes to iMOW, it’s good news – each model has a cutting width of 28cm. Within that, three free-swinging blades cut with laser-like precision.
And because STIHL is committed to designing products that last as long as possible, the rotation direction of the blades regularly changes, so no single part wears excessively. The cutting height can also be easily adjusted between 20mm and 60mm via the MY iMOW app, which allows you to easily control your mower.

Thanks to the Anti-Stuck Manoeuvre (ASM) setting, the iMOW can deal with obstacles such as fallen branches and inclines of up to 40%, while the EVO model can take on another 5% on top of that. It will also adapt its drive speed according to the gradient to maintain an even cut.
But the iMOW doesn’t just cut the grass – it leaves it better off, thanks to automatic fertilisation. It collects the grass clippings and feeds them back into the lawn’s surface in a process known as mulching, where the clippings quickly break down and become a nitrogen-rich fertiliser, helping your lawn stay lush and healthy.
The iMOW also allows you to map your garden out into different mowing zones, with different cutting lengths according to how you use each space. It has an inbuilt rain sensor so it knows to stop mowing to protect wet grass, and when it’s finished cutting, the iMOW will calculate the shortest route back to the docking station to leave as few tracks as possible.
Ultimate control
The new iMOW models can be fully operated with the MY iMOW app – from the most basic mowing functions right through to more detailed commands. With just a few taps of your mobile screen, you can tell it to leave its dock, start mowing, stop and drive back to its dock, as well as tweak the cutting height to your liking or adjust the mowing zones.
The dashboard clearly displays all the essential information, such as the mowing status, battery charge level and the next planned mowing session. Where it gets seriously nifty though, is its ability to control the times when the mower is active, right down to different times on different days, so its schedule fits perfectly around yours.
