Easy to use

The app is so simple to use: all you’ve got to do is enter your start and end point, and the type of sport you’re doing (you can also use the app for hiking, running and mountain biking). Then, komoot will map out your cycling route down to the very last detail. It will also give you information about the route’s surface type, difficulty, distance and elevation.

Once komoot has created a basic route for you, you can then easily tailor it to include recommended highlights from other local cyclists. This could be a brilliant stretch of asphalt where you can gain some acceleration, for example, or a fantastic cafe to stop by for lunch.

You can edit your route by adding or dragging waypoints too, so if you want to avoid or include a tough climb or rocky terrain, it couldn’t be simpler. And because you can save all your routes offline, you can go off the beaten track without worrying about your signal or battery life. What’s more, when you download your first region, it’s free – forever.
